How to Play Roulette - Play Roulette Online
Learning
how to play roulette is not very hard.
To generalize roulette play, you place a bet, the ball
is placed in the spinning wheel and if the ball lands on
a number that makes you a winner you get paid. If it
does not fall on a number that makes you a winner, you
lose your bet. Of course to really understand how to
play roulette you have to understand the best that are
available to you. That is what most of this page will
help you understand. Read on and in just minutes you
will understand all of the possible roulette bets and
you will be ready to try your luck on the spinning
wheel.
The roulette layout is where you place your bets.
There are either 37 numbers on a European roulette wheel
or 38 numbers on an American roulette wheel. The numbers
on the table are 1 through 36 and either a single zero
or a single zero and a double zero. Just in case you are
wondering, you should always play only on a single zero
roulette wheel. The house edge is half what the double
zero wheel offers. Here are the bets you can place on
roulette.
How to Place Roulette Bets
You
can place a bet on any single number. This bet pays 35
to 1. Your chances of hitting a single number bet are of
course 1 time out of 37 spins. (36 numbers plus the
zero)
You can place a bet on any 2 side by side numbers.
Like the 1 and 2 or 1 and 4. This bet pays 17 to 1.
You can place a bet on a 3 number row, like 7,8 and 9
or 25, 26 and 27. Winning this bet pays 11 to 1.
You can place a bet on 4 numbers that meet in a
corner, like 13, 14, 16 and 17. This bet pays 8 to 1. On
a European roulette wheel, you can also bet the 0, 1,2
and 3 for this bet.
You can place a bet on a column, like 3, 6, 9, 12,
15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33 and 36. This bet pays 2 to 1.
You can place a bet on a group of 12 numbers, either
the first 12, second 12 or third 12. Winning this bet
also pays 2 to 1.
You can place a bet on odd or even, which pays 1 to
1.
You can place a bet on black or red, which also pays
1 to 1.
You can place a bet on half's, like 1 through 18 or
19 through 36. Winning one of these bets pays 1 to 1.
You can also place any combination of the above bets
on the same spin of the roulette wheel.
I recommend when you are first learning how to play
roulette that you start by placing a simple bet of
either odd or even and/or black or red. Then once you
are comfortable playing roulette you can start mixing in
a variety of the other bets and find the ones you like
best.
How to Learn a Roulette System
There are plenty of people who will sell you some
kind of roulette system that they swear will win you
tons of money. There is not a roulette system that can
beat the house over time unless you can find a biased
roulette wheel. It is mathematically impossible to
overcome the house edge over time. Now like most games
of chance, once you learn how to play roulette you will
have streaks where you can win a good deal of money. But
you will also have streaks where you lose even more.
Much like finding a biased roulette wheel in a
casino, you can not beat online roulette unless you find
a casino with flawed software. Even if this does ever
happen, it won't last long. Online casinos are just like
real casinos and if they aren't making money on every
game they will figure out what's wrong and fix it.
Your best bet is to play roulette only on a single
zero European roulette wheel and play within your
budget. I hope this short roulette tutorial has helped
you learn how to play roulette and I hope you have hours
of fun playing roulette at your favorite casino.
